What is Etz Hayim?

Etz Hayim is an educational project based on the premise that attention to environmental concerns is essential to a vibrant Jewish life both in Israel and in the Diaspora. Our innovative programs provide the opportunity to confront contemporary environmental issues, study Jewish ecological principles, enjoy meaningful experiences in nature, and work alongside Israeli citizens for a sustainable future in the land of Israel.

What does Etz Hayim offer?
Our programs include:
  • Seminars and Shabbatonim for adults and youth
  • Volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups
  • Eco-tours combining travel, study, and volunteerism

Who supports Etz Hayim?

Etz Hayim is an initiative of the Jerusalem Branch of the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI). Project development is enabled by private donors and program participation fees.

How do I contact Etz Hayim?
